Tuesday March 21 at 19:30 h, El Visor – Espai Fotogràfic to the first of the presentations of the photographic tours organized by the friends of AUSTRALphoto.
During the year they will offer us speeches aimed to show us the tours organized by them: Chobe, Nepal, Idonesia, Kruger …. and many other destinations specifically designed to combine two pasions, photographing and traveling.
This initial meeting will be dedicated to KRUGER National Park,a safari completely committed to the photography of free animals, hosted by Albert Masó; and SENEGAL & GÀMBIA, a tour combining ethnographyc and wildlife photography. The second one will presented by Txús Martín –showing the itinerary-, Tato Rosés –explaining photographic techniques- and Lluís Solé, who will project the photographies obtained last year.
One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.
IN THE HEART OF SOUTH AFRICA (from 19 to 27 August)

Kruger N.P. is the oldest reserve in the African continent and a paradise for the wildlife photographer. We will follow all the tracks in special vehicles: haigh-raised jeeps without windows that allow us to freely and safely capture close images of the animals; their height helps to get high quality images with the best perspective.
More than 500 species of birds, monitor lizards, crocodiles and huge herds of large mammals such as elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo and leopards ( The Big Five ), plus kudus, hyenas, warthogs, nyalas, hippos, large elands, giraffes, steenboks, baboons, mongooses, guenons, black-backed jackals, African wild dogs, zebras, blue wildebeests, cheetahs and rare species of antelopes impossible to see in other places live there

We will embark on an ethnographic and wildlife expedition through the heart of the African continent, based in a responsible and sustainable ecotourism, and with minimal costs. We will discover a rural environment of incomparable beauty inhabited by the Diola, one of the last animistic tribes of sub-Saharan Africa. We will attend firsthand to the ancient initiatory ritual of garrur: the transition from infancy to adulthood.
In addition, we will enjoy an exotic gastronomy of proximity and visit the region of Casamance, with its virgin beaches, lush forests, remnants of colonial cities and small fishing villages. Finally, we will cross the rainforest and extensions of mangrove by boat … everything to get a complete photographic reportage of nature and tribes.
